OKNO-TIK
PAD.MA workshop
The TIK project is using the experimental online media database Pad.ma as a core tool for documenting the project. In this workshop the developers (Jan Gerber, Sebastian Luettgert and Sanjay Bhangar) will be present. We are making a program that will appeal to both the technical artists who are involved in the set up and further development of the program, and the users throughout the project.

This workshop was set up to achieve a better understanding of two central, intertwined TIK concepts, WindClocks and WindTime. The outset of the workshop was WindTime research through the joint construction, measuring and connection of actual WindClocks.

The TIK launch event took place 14,15 and 16 July 2010 at Les Ateliers Claus in Brussels. OKNO organised a meeting between the participating and associated partners (OKNO, ESC, COL-ME, yo-yo) and the several invited artists. This offered a first opportunity for future project proposals and a redefinition and further fine-tuning of the existing project outlines and perspectives through various interdisciplinary group discussions, working sessions and presentations. Hereby the partners, and participating guests, all agreed on the emphasis on process through collaboration.

TIK WindClock Building Workshop
OKNO and the TIK-partners join our friends on the Croatian island of Korčula for a workshop in constructing WindClocks.
WindClocks are the starting point and the motors of the TimeInventorsKabinet. They are simple devices to measure the dynamics of the wind and translate this data into WindTime. WindTime is what TIK is all about, we use it for visuals, sound, scheduling and whatever we can apply it to.
